Our client is a well-established M&E Installation Contractor with a 60m annual turnover, delivering high-value commercial projects across the region. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer

Works are in the building services sector on new build construction developments
Package of 35k - 70k plus package depending on experience and qualifications
Duties
* Support the preparation and issue of supplier and subcontractor enquiry packages under the guidance of the QS or senior engineers.
* Help review returned quotations for consistency and completeness.
* Learn the basics of procurement processes and assist in tracking orders and documentation.
* Reviewing design documentation and flagging areas needing clarification.
* Draft and log Requests for Information (RFIs) under supervision.
* Gain exposure to Value Engineering (VE) processes by attending design meetings and workshops.
* Support the monitoring and coordination of CDP subcontractor's pre-construction inputs.
* Review documentation and learning how to check against specifications.
* Attend design meetings taking an active role in assisting with design and resolving issues
* Liaise with external design consultants to understand how specifications and time lines are managed.
* Track deliverables and following up on outstanding design items.
* Learn how Building Information Modelling (BIM) and working drawings are used in project development.
* Help manage the flow of updated drawings and maintain drawing registers where needed.
* Prepare technical and sample submittals for review by senior engineers.
* Check compliance with project standards and manufacturer specifications.
* Attend internal and external design meetings, taking notes and assist with closing out/resolving design issues.
* Effectively communicate and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
* Support the development of preconstruction and design reports with input from the mechanical and electrical teams.
* Gather, organise, and present technical information clearly.
* Assist in tracking project changes and variations in collaboration with the QS and engineering team.
* Assist with communicating and manage design and scope changes.
* Attend Factory Witness Tests (FATs) when appropriate to observe and understand performance verification procedures.
* Applicant to have existing skills and knowledge of Excel, Word and Bluebeam.

Preferred Experience
* MEP Engineering or Building Services qualification .
* MEP design and pre-construction process.
* Some academic, internship, or practical exposure to building services or construction projects - ideally within a mechanical, plumbing, and electrical (M&E) setting.
* Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM is a plus.
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to build a career in MEP engineering within the construction industry.
* Existing knowledge of document management and review platforms would be an advantage. Asite, Aconex, Viewpoint, BIMcollab, Revizto, etc
