Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Deliver tailored, small-group interventions in literacy and numeracy to boost pupil attainment.
* Provide 1:1 support for children with additional learning needs (SEND) or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
* Assist the classroom teacher with resource preparation, display creation, and behaviour management.
* Foster an inclusive, encouraging learning environment where pupils feel safe and confident.
* Supervise pupils during structured lesson transitions, break times, and educational school trips.
* Monitor student engagement and feedback observations directly to the class teacher.
Requirements for the Role
* Previous experience working with children (e.g., in schools, nurseries, youth clubs, or tutoring).
* A minimum of GCSE Grade C/4 (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
* A compassionate, patient demeanour paired with excellent communication skills.
* A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one).
* High adaptability and a proactive approach to supporting classroom dynamics.
* Does not require a Sponsorship to work in the UK.
