Purpose
The Director & Head of Global RFP / Proposals will lead the strategic and operational direction of the bank's centralized RFP unit. This role manages end-to-end RFP processes across all global units to ensure tailored, competitive, high-quality proposals compliant with regulations and policies. As a key member of GTB Sales leadership, you will contribute to business growth, improve proposal processes, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement in RFP management globally.
Responsibilities
1. Lead and shape a client-centric culture to deepen relationships and leverage broader bank connections.
2. Develop and execute a global RFP management strategy aligned with client retention goals.
3. Manage a cross-functional team responsible for RFP creation, submission, and follow-up, ensuring standards and messaging consistency.
4. Coordinate global, regional, and local RFP activities, streamlining workflows and adopting best practices.
5. Build structures for proactive RFP preparation.
6. Enhance process effectiveness and service delivery for RFPs, RFIs, and complex proposals.
7. Collaborate with business units and subject matter experts to craft compelling, tailored proposals.
8. Maintain and update a repository of standard responses, ensuring compliance and currency.
9. Build relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, product, legal, compliance, marketing, and other banking divisions.
10. Establish KPIs to measure RFP success, including win rates, response volume, turnaround times, and client feedback.
11. Report regularly on RFP performance and outcomes, integrating insights into product development.
12. Implement and optimize technology tools for proposal automation and content management.
13. Drive innovation to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance client experience, positioning the bank for success.
14. Ensure activities align with the bank’s risk culture, risk appetite, and conduct standards.
Qualifications
* 7+ years of experience in RFP process management, RFIs, content management, and large proposals.
* Bachelor’s degree, MBA, or equivalent.
* Strong analytical skills and data management ability.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Project management expertise.
* Problem-solving capabilities.
* Language skills in Spanish or French are advantageous.
* Creative, proactive approach to process improvement.
* Strategic and tactical planning skills.
* Knowledge of banking operations, financial processes, and sales management.
* Leadership and coaching skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
* Effective negotiation and influencing skills.
* Customer experience perspective.
