We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague with a specialist interest in Chest radiology to join our high quality, dynamic Radiology department at Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals as a Consultant. You will join the current team of friendly and enthusiastic Radiologists to provide general radiology service with above mentioned special interest in this busy modern hospital which provides a wide range of clinical services to the local population. Subspecialist interests will be supported and developed throughout your career with us. The Radiology department is a progressive, forward-thinking team and the candidate will have the opportunity to be involved in the shaping and delivery of the service. We have an active capital replacement programme with deployment of two CT scanners on the DRI site and replacements of both the MRI and CT scanners on the Bassetlaw site. There is a well-established skill mix with radiographers undertaking plain film, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine and CT reporting within agreed scopes of practice.
Flexibility to job planning is a key advantage of working within the team and there is active encouragement for home working (one day per week on a standard 10 PA job plan). Access to images out of hours is available from consultant homes via PACS workstations. CT scans undertaken after 8.30 pm weekdays and 6pm weekends are outsourced.
