CNC Borer Setter - Day and Night Shifts
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a CNC Borer Setter to join our client based in Ashton-under-Lyne on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering an excellent hourly rate, overtime earning potential, weekly pay, and the chance to work on complex, heavy components.
Required:-
* CNC Horizontal Borer/Setter/Operator/Programmer – 1x Days and 1 x Nights
* CNC Vertical Borer/Setter/Operator/Programmer - 1 x Nights
* CNC Elgamill Setter/Operator/Programmer - 1 x Days and 1 x Nights
* CNC Hartford Horizontal Borer/Operator/Programmer – 1 x Days and 1 x Nights
We have fixed day and night shifts available.
Shifts:
* Days: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday 08:00 – 13:00
* Nights: Monday – Thursday 18:00 – 06:00
Salary: £34,500 per annum (overtime = time +1/3 weekdays and time + 1/2 weekends) (Equivalent to £18ph)

Day to Day Duties:
Your duties as a CNC Borer Setter are:
* Set, operate, and program CNC Boring/Milling machines using Heidenhain/Fanuc controls
* Produce medium to heavy workpieces to precise tolerances from customer drawings
* Carry out self-inspection to maintain quality
* Work closely with production team to ensure delivery schedules are met
* Support overtime requirements when needed
Essential Skills:
The essential skills required as a CNC Borer Setter are:
* Proven CNC horizontal boring/milling background with Heidenhain/Fanuc programming
* Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
* Strong understanding of quality standards and self-inspection processes
* Flexible to work days or nights, with overtime
Training:
* Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
