Randstad Education is proud to partner with a high:achieving Multi:Academy Trust with schools across the region. We are seeking a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to support their secondary school sites located in or near Grays, Essex.
This is the perfect role for someone who thrives on variety and is looking for a foot in the door at one of the UKs most respected educational networks. As an on:the:day specialist, you will be the hero who steps in to ensure learning never stops for students across Thurrock.
The Role
Unlike traditional teaching, there is no planning or marking involved. Your primary focus is classroom management and student engagement.
* Be Ready: Be available for early morning calls (7:00 AM : 8:00 AM) for same:day cover in the Grays and wider Thurrock area.
* Lead: Deliver pre:prepared lessons across the curriculum (Maths to Music, Science to Sociology).
* Manage: Ensure the schools behavior policy is followed, maintaining a calm and productive environment.
* Collaborate: Work alongside a supportive school leadership team within the MAT framework.
What Youll Need
* Ultimate Flexibility: This role is specifically for those who can accept bookings on short notice and travel to schools in the Grays area.
* Presence: A confident, take:charge personality with the ability to build rapport quickly with teenagers.
* Background: Experience working with children (coaching, youth work, or tutoring) is highly desirable.
* Compliance: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness for one).
