ASH Pub & Dining situated in a prime position in Sutton Coldfield are looking for talented Front of house team members to join their. We are launching our brunch offering and are looking to add a reliable and focuused supervisor to our team. You must have 2 years experience in full service high end gastro pubs.
Responsibilities and key expectations
1. Staff Management & Leadership
* Supervise front-of-house (FOH) and/or back-of-house (BOH) staff during shifts.
* Lead by example with professionalism, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
* Train, mentor, and motivate staff to uphold service standards.
* Manage shift schedules, delegate tasks, and ensure adequate coverage.
* Resolve interpersonal conflicts or staff issues promptly and fairly.
2. Customer Service Excellence
* Ensure guests receive outstanding service and hospitality.
* Address and resolve customer complaints efficiently and professionally.
* Monitor guest satisfaction and anticipate needs to enhance the dining experience.
* Uphold and enforce service standards at all times.
3. Operational Oversight
* Oversee daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth workflow.
* Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in all areas.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Maintain organization and readiness of the dining area, kitchen, and storage areas.
4. Financial Responsibility
* Monitor and manage cash handling and register operations.
* Assist with daily sales reporting, tip distribution, and shift-end balancing.
* Minimize waste, control labor costs, and reduce unnecessary expenditures.
5. Communication & Reporting
* Relay shift updates and concerns to upper management.
* Conduct or contribute to pre-shift meetings and staff briefings.
* Keep accurate records of incidents, maintenance issues, and other relevant events.
6. Problem Solving & Decision Making
* Act quickly and decisively to resolve emergencies or unexpected issues.
* Maintain composure under pressure and guide the team through busy periods.
* Use sound judgment to prioritize tasks and allocate resources efficiently.
