We're currently utilising Magic Notes, which has proven to help social workers reduce the amount of time spent on administrative work, allowing them to focus on using their skillset and creativity to support our shared vision of improving the life chances and outcomes for children in Somerset.
Responsibilities
 * Work within the Children Looked After (CLA) service to support profound changes to a child\'s life, building long term relationships to promote ambitious outcomes.
 * Focus on permanence, connection/reconnection with families wherever possible.
 * Be passionate and enthusiastic to join us in improving outcomes for our most vulnerable young people.
 * Extensive training and development opportunities are supported by weekly CPD, on-site Consultant Social Worker support and Advanced Social Work Practitioner (AP) Programme with role specialism.
 * Engage in relationship-based social work; reflect and think creatively to build relationships that make a difference to children and families.
 * Hold a qualification as a social worker registered with Social Work England and have experience working with children and families in social work.
 * Work in an environment that is supportive and rewarding, with a team committed to improving the lives of people in Somerset; flexible working arrangements available.
 * Access to technology and virtual connectivity to stay connected with your team and manager.
 * Flexible hybrid working: time spent in the office and at home; travel may be required and a full driving licence with access to a vehicle is needed.
Qualifications
 * Qualified social worker registered with Social Work England.
 * Experience working with children and families in social work.
