Credit Controller

As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Credit Controller to join our Finance team to ensure that our accounts are managed effectively to allow the successful operation and growth of our business.

Essentials:

1. Proven knowledge and 5 years + experience of working in a credit control department.
2. Excellent communication and influencing skills, capable of building effective working / customer relationships.
3. Attention to detail to ensure work is produced to a high standard and communications / notes are accurate and up to date at all times.
4. Good planning and organisation skills are required, as is self-motivation to ensure tasks are completed to deadlines set.
5. Ability to manage and resolve queries.
6. A flexible ‘can do’ attitude with a willingness to learn, develop and adapt to change as business processes/systems evolve.
7. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
8. Good knowledge of MS Excel.
9. Credit Management or other Finance qualification ( AAT).

Beneficial:

10. Experience of using SAP
11. Knowledge of financial accounts.
12. Experience with international customers.
13. Worked with multiple currencies.
14. Knowledge of payment term methods (Secured terms).

What You’ll Be Doing:

Be part of a team that values diversity, sustainability, and continuous innovation, where your ideas and contributions matter.
Downloading cash from the bank and posting in SAP (multiple currencies).

15. Effective cash collections (emails/calls/customer relationships) to minimise overdue balances.
16. Liaising with internal teams to find solutions for late payments and order/deliveries blocks.
17. Credit checking new Customers and performing ongoing reviews for existing Customers.
18. Proposing (obtaining approval) and maintaining accurate credit limits and payment terms.
19. Following Credit Policy, working instructions and other Company Policies.
20. Assisting with month end reporting and other ad hoc requests.
21. As part of a team, identifying and implementing process improvements.
22. Working with multiple legal entities and colleagues based in the EMEA region.
23. Communicating daily with Customers/Internal colleagues via MS TEAMS/Video calls.
