Caremark is one of the UK's leading home care franchise networks, and we're looking for a motivated and detail-driven Finance Assistant to join our well-established Finance team. This is a brilliant opportunity to develop your skills and career in a head office environment, working alongside a friendly and experienced team. You'll be joining us as one of two Finance Assistants, reporting directly to our Finance Manager.
What we're looking for - Essential requirements:
* 6 months to 1 year of experience working within a finance department. You've got your foot on the ladder and you're ready to climb.
* Hands-on experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Purchase ledger to include coding and positing of invoices, reconciling accounts and arranging payments.
* Sales ledger to include raising invoices, reconciling payments and following up on overdue invoices.
* Employee expenses
* Bank reconciliation to include allocating supplier and customer payments.
* Intermediate Excel skills. You're comfortable with formulas and spreadsheets and you're not afraid of a pivot table.
* A willingness to learn new systems and ways of working. You're adaptable and open-minded.
* Strong communication skills. You can liaise confidently with internal teams, suppliers and stakeholders alike.
* The ability to work to deadlines without compromising on accuracy. Month-end waits for no one!
* A collaborative nature. You're a team player who can roll their sleeves up and get stuck in.
* Maths GCSE or higher.
Bonus skill-set:
* Studying towards or holding an AAT (or equivalent) accounting qualification.
* Experience using Microsoft Business Central.
* Exposure to multicurrency transactions.

About The Role
The role:
You'll be joining a well-oiled Finance team, working as one of two Finance Assistants under the guidance of our Finance Manager. Day-to-day, you'll be getting your hands on a broad range of finance tasks, from processing and reconciling to chasing and resolving. No two days will look exactly the same.
You'll play a key part in keeping the wheels of our finance function turning, supporting the wider team and contributing to accurate, timely, and compliant financial processes across our head-office function and our network of franchisees.

* Intermediate Excel Skills
