Overview
We are part of a national EV charging franchise network, specialising in domestic and commercial electric vehicle (EV) charger installations. As demand for EV infrastructure continues to grow, we are expanding our team to support sustainable business growth and long-term staff retention.
We are looking for a Junior EV Installation Engineer who is keen to develop their career in the fast-growing EV sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrician looking to specialise in EV charging installations within a supportive, structured environment.
The Role
This role focuses primarily on EV charger installations and maintenance across domestic (70%) and commercial (30–40%) sites.
You will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure confidence and competence in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation of EV charging points at domestic and commercial properties
* Conducting maintenance and remedial works as required
* Working within a 50-mile radius of Slough (no overnight stays required)
* Completing one installation and one maintenance job per day (typical schedule)
* Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and company standards
* Delivering high-quality customer service on every job
Please note:
* Commissioning and regulatory sign-off (Part B) is managed by Head Office engineers
* Initial supervision and shadowing will be provided
Training & Development
* Hands‑on field shadowing with the business owner
* Ongoing technical support from Head Office engineers
* Opportunity for salary progression as qualifications are completed

Requirements
Essential Qualifications for more senior role
* NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
* 18th Edition (BS7671)
* City & Guilds 2391 (Inspection & Testing)
* Full UK Driving Licence
Highly Desirable
* C&G 2919 (Electric Vehicle Charging Point Installation)
* Experience in domestic electrical installations
This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed or is finalising their qualifications and is looking to specialise in the EV sector.
