Overview
Cornwall Council’s Property & Asset Service, part of ERA (Economy, Regeneration & Assets), manages the Council’s extensive land and property portfolio. The Compliance Team leads work ensuring a safe and compliant estate in line with statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements.
Role
Assist in delivering Property Inspections and Audits across the Council’s diverse estate, monitor and review Property‑Related Risk Assessments, and advise and manage compliance functions relating to assets owned or occupied by the Council. Responsibilities include duties under the Equalities Act 2010, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and other relevant legislation.
Responsibilities
* Deliver property inspections and audits
* Monitor, review and assist completion of property risk assessments
* Advise and manage compliance functions (equalities, fire safety, health & safety)
Qualifications
* Property professional with experience delivering high‑quality compliance work and proven experience of property inspections and audits
* Sound knowledge of property‑related legislation and standards, particularly Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Working Pattern
Permanent role, 37 hours per week.
