About The Role
We are seeking an Installation Operative to support our expansion. Ideal candidates have experience in civil engineering, construction, or armed forces, and seek a career with growth opportunities. The role is based in Birmingham (Wolverhampton) but involves working on customer sites across construction, wastewater, and clean water sectors, with occasional branch visits.
Tasks & Responsibilities
1. Promote and embody the company's mission and values to provide high-quality installation services across the UK.
2. Install pipework, assist drivers with vehicle loading/unloading, and check paperwork for accuracy, damages, and missing items.
3. Maintain physical fitness to meet role demands.
4. Suggest creative solutions to improve business efficiency and attractiveness.
5. Prioritize safety, demonstrate confidence and knowledge to halt operations if safety issues arise, and inform supervisors.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
Essential
* Ability to work on client sites in construction, wastewater, and clean water sectors.
* Flexible hours, including being part of a 1-in-4 weekends on-call rota.
* Willingness to travel nationwide and work away from home.
* Full UK driving license (no more than 6 points).
Preferred
* Construction Skills CSCS card.
* National Water Hygiene Card.
* Confined space training.
* Forklift certification.
* Understanding of pump solutions.
This role involves working at heights, in confined spaces, lone working, and with sewage. It requires a safety-critical medical assessment.
