The Deputy Head (Learning & Teaching) is responsible for shaping and leading the academic vision of Albyn School from P1 to S6. This senior post carries full strategic and operational responsibility for curriculum development, teaching and learning, professional development, quality assurance, and academic innovation. As a core member of the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT), the Deputy Head will ensure that academic standards remain high and that pupils experience a progressive, coherent and inclusive curriculum that aligns with the School’s values and Strategic Plan.
The Deputy Head (Learning & Teaching) plays a central role in inspection readiness, self-evaluation, and the implementation of the School’s academic quality assurance framework. The postholder will also contribute to the broader leadership and direction of Albyn School.
This is a new role as we move towards a fully integrated overview of the school’s academic life from P1 through to S6.
