The Facilities and EHS Team are seeking an Electrical Facilities Technician with a background in electrical works to join our team in Winnersh, UK. This is an onsite role with the working hours being 07:30 to 15:30.
This is an all round and varied facilities maintenance role within an established team at a modern building within the aerospace industry. The Electrical Facilities Technician will also be the out of hours emergency contact.
Working with the Senior Facilities Technician and Facilities Apprentice you will have a background in preventative and reactive maintenance and hold a 18th Edition electrical qualification or equivalent. We are looking for someone who can confidently take on the following tasks;
1. Electrical works including light fittings in the DIAILL system, new cabling installations, amendments to existing set ups and runs, understanding the buildings demand and load, thermal imaging of DB boards and remedial works, PAT testing, compliance with the Collins electrical working policy.
2. 18th Edition qualified
3. Ideally PASMA qualified
4. Become fully conversant with our applicable risk assessments, policy and procedural requirements and work within the necessary regulatory requirements
5. Learn the buildings BMS system including lighting and HVAC
6. General preventative maintenance tasks
7. Reactive maintenance tasks
8. Prioritising your workload to meet customer expectations
9. Occasional emergency call outs out of hours (weekends and over night) which are unescorted
10. Working with and escorting 3rd party contractors including onsite coordination and creating work permits
11. Understanding of the buildings infrastructure, utilities, emergency equipment and legislative requirements.
