About the role:
As a Maintenance Group Leader at JCB World Headquarters, you’ll lead a skilled maintenance team supporting manufacturing, assembly, and paint operations within a fast-paced machine division. This is a pivotal role where you will drive a proactive maintenance culture, ensuring production assets are optimised for maximum availability, efficiency, and performance.
What does this role involve day to day?
1. Leading and coordinating a maintenance team to support manufacturing, assembly, and paint processes, aligned with business priorities
2. Championing a proactive maintenance approach, including the development and implementation of a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy
3. Ensuring all systems and equipment are maintained to the highest Health and Safety standards, protecting both engineers and equipment users
4. Monitoring performance through KPIs, using data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement
5. Developing team capability by enhancing the skills and technical knowledge of maintenance engineers
6. Collaborating with Team Leaders to allocate resources effectively, ensuring repairs are completed by suitably skilled personnel
7. Managing people processes including performance reviews, return-to-work interviews, recruitment, disciplinary procedures, and attendance
8. Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and the implementation of new technologies
9. Overseeing contractor inductions and ensuring safe working practices are followed on site

10. You have strong electrical and mechanical engineering knowledge, with proven leadership experience
