About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Solutions Architects who have worked for the NHS to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end-to-end cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, engineers, and developers to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and reliable Azure architectures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement Azure-based solutions across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
* Lead architectural discussions and design sessions with stakeholders and technical teams.
* Ensure solutions align with Azure best practices for scalability, cost optimization, performance, and security.
* Develop and maintain architecture documentation, diagrams, and design artifacts.
* Support cloud migration and modernization projects from on-premise or other cloud providers to Azure.
* Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform), and automation.
* Ensure compliance with data governance, regulatory requirements, and security frameworks.
* Mentor and guide development teams and junior architects.
* Act as the Azure SME during client engagements, technical workshops, and design authority forums.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience in architecting and delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure.
* Strong knowledge of Azure services such as:
* Azure App Services, Functions, Logic Apps
* Azure SQL,
* Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
* Azure API Management
* Virtual Networks, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall
* Deep understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
* Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions), and Agile delivery.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable:
* Experience with hybrid cloud solutions and on-prem to cloud migration strategies.
* Background in application modernization (e.g., microservices, containers).

This role at Amber Labs is a 12 Month salary based FTC position, and all employees are required to hold BPSS or current SC. Please be advised that, at this time, we are unable to consider candidates who require sponsorship or hold a visa of any type.
