1. ROLE STATEMENT
Responsible for carrying out duties in the Fabrication Workshop, including the manufacturing of products whilst adhering to Enerquip's QHSE standards, responsibilities, policies and procedures.
2. MAIN RESPONSIBLITIES
· Carry out fabrication & welding duties as directed by the Production Manager or workshop chargehand.
· Able to read and interpret engineering drawings to correctly complete the fabrication/welding tasks that are assigned.
· Ensure that bays within the workshop are kept to a high standard including the condition of equipment and tools within them.
· Carry out pre-use maintenance checks on equipment, reporting faults to the workshop chargehand.
· Ensure that shared equipment (eg drills) are used and maintained safely and correctly.
· Ensure that the Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems are followed and that any problems or concerns, perceived or real are reported.
· Carry out any other duties as directed by the Engineering Management or workshop chargehand.
· Completion of Quality Product as per engineering drawings within assigned time scale.
3. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
· Ability and experience using a variety of tools and equipment used for fabrication.
· Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
· Full knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines.
· Knowledge of specific welding processes such as GMAW is preferred.
