Introduction
We are recruiting for Project Engineer to join our clients Engineering and Technical Solutions team in the Nuclear Sector.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and maintain engineering documentation, including quality plans and technical specifications.
Manage technical queries in accordance with relevant processes and procedures.
Support the process of contractor selection and contract placement.
Conduct technical reviews of contractor documents and drawings and perform technical appraisals of project options.
Carry out feasibility studies, site surveys, and collaborate with designers and station engineering staff as required.
Prepare Engineering Changes and manage the preparation of supporting and affected documents.
Develop commissioning documents and act as test team leader where appropriate.
Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in overseeing the project, ensuring work is carried out safely, on time, and effectively through to completion.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum HND technical discipline or equivalent.
Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
Formal project management qualification and familiarity with modern project management techniques preferred but not essential.
Experience in identifying, implementing, and complying with applicable safety, environmental, and quality standards, company procedures, policies, and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge and experience of delivering construction projects under CDM (Construction (Design and Management) regulations).
Ideally, experience in managing and delivering electrical power systems design and installation projects, or electrical supply and distribution systems.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Experience of working at generating power stations - essential.
Salary and benefits
£50-63K per annum
