About The Role
Shift Pattern: Varied shift rota, 5 days on, 2 days off, Weekends included.
Role: Train Cleaner
You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards of trains, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for passengers and staff. This role contributes to a positive customer experience and the overall maintenance and appearance of trains.
Your key responsibilities
 * Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain a tidy environment inside the train
 * Inspect and report any damages, graffiti, or vandalism to the appropriate authorities for prompt resolution
 * Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed, ensuring materials are on hand to perform daily tasks
 * Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure work environment
 * Follow procedures for handling and disposing of cleaning chemicals and materials
The ideal candidate
 * Must have Right to Work in the UK
 * Previous experience in cleaning would be advantageous
 * Strong communication skills
 * Willingness to work night and weekend shifts
Additional information
 * You will need to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test prior to starting in this role
 * You will also be required to complete a Depot Track Safety (DTS) training course
 * Free travel to and from work will be provided on SWR trains
