Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for:
1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, and systems following specifications, blueprints, manuals, and drawings, using hand tools, power tools, hoists, cranes, welding equipment, measuring, and testing equipment.
2. Visually inspecting and testing machinery and equipment, using electrical and electronic test equipment.
3. Listening for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discussing machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
4. Dismantling defective machines and equipment and installing new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
5. Cleansing and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery, using rags, brushes, and grease guns.
6. Operating cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
7. Supporting company/region policies regarding housekeeping and safety.
Basic Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess millwright skills, including but not limited to:
* Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
* Proficient skills in welding and fitting.
