Role Responsibilities You’ll manage all aspects of the reservations department and strategically plan and manage individual and group reservations.Our hotel is located near a large exhibition centre and managing group business is a key part of the daily functions. Using the historical and forecast information to maximise occupancy, revenue and yield in line with company procedure. To encourage and develop the team to also maximise revenue opportunities through training and coaching. To develop, with the Director of Commercial functions, a year planner, identifying and managing seasonal peaks and business trends. Maximising yield, and achieving room’s budget. To help identify market trends and co-ordinate sales activities accordingly, with the DOS, GM & Central Sales/Revenue. To take an active role in annual business development of the Sales Action Plan. To ensure that a professional appearance and manner, is shown to all visitors, resulting in positive PR both internally and externally of the Sales Team. To ensure that all special rate plans (SRP's) are up to date and readily available To ensure that all events and group bookings have company terms and conditions and contracts. To maintain a close relationship with the Accounts department to ensure that there is an accurate production of bills and payment schedules for all bookings. To ensure that all distribution channels show rate parity and are managed to maximise all selling opportunities. Have a great understanding of OTA partners and extranet. To effectively communicate reservations terms and conditions to all clients. Financial awareness and understanding of how the role impacts the hotel P&L. Ensure that the team performs all guest accounting functions according to the company and hotel's policies and procedures, therefore, ensuring all guest accounts are complete and accurate. Any other reasonable requests as requested by your Line Manager.
