HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver
to join our client's well-established transport operation based in
Motherwell.
This is a fantastic opportunity offering

Shifts:
Monday to Sunday – Start times between 03:00am and 06:00am
Pay Rate:
£16.00 per hour (Monday to Friday – Days)

Day-to-Day Duties
Shunting 45ft trailers safely to and from allocated bays
Operating Class 1 vehicles in line with company and safety standards
Carrying out daily yard checks in compliance with site rules and H&S procedures
Ensuring all loads are secured correctly before movement
Covering trunking routes when required
Completing all necessary paperwork and vehicle checks accurately
Adhering to all transport regulations and traffic laws
Communicating effectively with transport, warehouse, and yard teams via radio
Essential Skills
Valid
UK Category C+E Licence
Minimum of
2 years' experience
driving and shunting Class 1 vehicles
Valid
UK CPC Card
and
Digital Tachograph Card
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements (no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to operate efficiently in a busy yard and warehouse environment
Desirable Experience
Previous experience working in a fast-paced logistics or distribution yard
Training Provided
Full induction and paid driver assessment prior to starting
Ongoing training and support throughout your assignment
