Manufacturing Technician
Adhere to defined cGMP procedures to manufacture high potency ADC/APIs in support of launched products and clinical trial programmes. Proactive approach to suite readiness, structured monitoring, line clearance, BOM/stock levels, sample control and SAP inventory. Complete GMP documentation accurately.
Maintain high ESH standards, carrying out all work in accordance with appropriate ESH systems. Adhere to 5S and housekeeping standards so that suites are audit ready at all times.
Job Summary
Piramal Healthcare UK Limited is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Technician to contribute to the production of high‑quality pharmaceutical products. This role involves operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, adhering to strict quality and safety standards, and supporting overall production efficiency.
Job Responsibilities
* Operate and monitor various manufacturing equipment, including mixers, tablet presses, encapsulation machines, and packaging lines, according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Perform in‑process checks and record production data accurately and in a timely manner.
* Conduct routine cleaning and basic maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with GMP standards.
* Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and escalate complex issues to engineering or maintenance teams.
* Adhere to all health, safety and environmental regulations, as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
* Assist with the setup, changeover and shutdown of production lines.
* Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
* Collaborate effectively with team members, supervisors and other departments to meet production targets.
* Maintain accurate and complete production records, batch records and logbooks.
* Identify and report any deviations or quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
Job Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; a technical qualification or degree in a science or engineering discipline is a plus.
* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical, food or chemical industry.
* Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety regulations.
* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions accurately.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Basic computer proficiency (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
* Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights and work in a fast‑paced environment.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as required by production schedules.
