Drainage Engineering (Expression of Interest) – WSP

WSP is seeking Drainage Engineers at all grades who specialise in Water, Drainage and Environmental Engineering for transportation infrastructure projects to register their interest for up‑and‑coming roles across the team. We support clients and projects throughout the UK with a focus on high‑profile rail, highway, local authority and aviation projects, providing drainage designs from concept through to detail.


Responsibilities

* Delivery of a wide variety of civil engineering projects, such as highway, rail, infrastructure and site development schemes.
* Deliver projects from concept through to completion, ensuring a high technical standard, timeliness and commercial success.
* Deliver a broad range of drainage services for the most significant transport and infrastructure projects in the UK.
* Lead client relationships and attend client progress meetings (Senior grades).
* Manage a team of drainage engineers, supporting their technical development and ensuring they are resourced on projects (Senior grades).


Qualifications

* Chartered or Incorporated Engineer and/or degree qualified (role dependent).
* Extensive and proven experience post degree in designing sustainable drainage solutions.
* Knowledge and understanding of drainage design principles and solutions to manage infrastructure drainage.
* Experience with Civil 3D and/or Causeway Flow software/MicroDrainage.
* Proven knowledge of relevant technical standards, UK Building Regulations, Design Standards, Codes of Practice and Health & Safety regulations.
* Successful management of projects/programmes and teams to meet both quality and commercial targets.
* Technical experience in at least one of the following areas: Highway Drainage, Rail Drainage, Airport Drainage, Asset Management, Foul water, Sustainable foul and surface water drainage design, Drainage modelling software (Causeway Flow or Microdrainage).

Civil Engineer (Urban Drainage / Wastewater Networks) – Stantec

Our Civil Engineers work across the project lifecycle in asset planning/strategy, concept design, outline design and detailed design, within our design and build joint ventures. The role involves delivering community focused projects and collaborating with project teams to develop innovative solutions. You will work on frameworks across the UK and Ireland, collaborating with colleagues, external organisations, partners & stakeholders nationwide.


Responsibilities

* Develop civil engineering design guided by Project Technical Leads and Senior/Principal Civil Engineers.
* Lead client facing role, engaging in client meetings and collaboration.
* Deliver wastewater infrastructure projects, including sewer flooding and pollution projects, with a focus on Sustainable Urban Drainage and Surface Water Management.
* Collaborate with partners and stakeholders across the UK and Ireland.
* Contribute to design and build joint ventures, ensuring quality and compliance.


Qualifications

* Degree in Civil Engineering.
* Incorporated or Chartered, or working toward Chartered status with a relevant professional body such as ICE or CIWEM.
* Passion for the Water & Environment sector with experience delivering community‑focused projects.
* Experience in wastewater infrastructure and Sustainable Urban Drainage and Surface Water Management.
* Experience in a client‑facing role, leading client engagement and collaboration.
