This is a key commissioning and contract‑management role, providing assurance that highways structures services are delivered to specification, to the right standard and with strong commercial oversight.
Responsibilities
* Lead the commissioning and delivery of highways structures maintenance and capital works through third‑party providers.
* Provide assurance on quality, scope, compliance and value for money across term maintenance, consultancy and framework contracts.
* Carry out site visits to verify works and payments align with contract requirements and Buckinghamshire Council standards.
* Lead structures delivery planning, including developing strategy and forward programmes of work.
* Approve/validate payment applications and measurements (including schedule of rates) in conjunction with alliance partners.
* Performance‑manage providers, analyse trends, and produce clear reports that drive continuous improvement.
* Build effective working relationships with key delivery partners and stakeholders, including managing complex or sensitive issues.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements, including CDM regulations, and support procurement of future works.
