Based at their modern UK HQ near Reading, Berkshire, you’ll join a friendly and knowledgeable team working on cutting-edge test and measurement equipment. You’ll receive full training and support to help you grow into a skilled technician — with great long-term development potential.
This role is offered as an initial 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension based on performance and business need.
🎓 What You'll Be Doing:
• Operate and maintain test stations using PC-based software and electronic instrumentation.
• Carry out manual measurements of electronic signals using oscilloscopes and other testing tools.
• Learn to troubleshoot and fault-find on a wide variety of devices.
• Provide updates to customers on service progress and timelines.
• Work collaboratively within a team to meet service quality and turnaround goals.
• Gain exposure to customer-facing field roles as your skills develop.
🔍 What We're Looking For:
• 5 GCSEs (grades A–C), including Maths, English, and ideally Physics.
• A-Level or BTEC qualification in Electronics, Engineering, or similar (advantageous).
• Enthusiasm for electronics, technology, and hands-on learning.
• Any prior experience with soldering, testing, or troubleshooting is a bonus!
• Confident communicator and a team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word and Excel.
