Mobile Library Driver / Assistant | 9542 | Permanent Contract | £26,403 to £28,142 per annum pro rata (Scale E) | 33 hours per week | Hethersett and bases across Norfolk
We would like to hear from LGV Class C or C+E drivers who would like to join our mobile library team.
Do you have a Driver Qualification Card (CPC)?
We are looking for a driver to operate from our Whitegates base in Hethersett and on occasion may also be required to work from our base at East Dereham. The role of a Mobile Library driver involves checking the vehicle, making sure it is well stocked and following the route timetable for the day. You will be serving the public, helping them choose books from the vehicle and assisting with information requests, so the ability to get on with a wide cross section of the community is important.
To be considered for this post you will need to be able to demonstrate you can work with people, have basic computer skills, have some cash handling experience, enthusiasm and can work on your own initiative.
An LGV - Class C or C + E driving licence is essential for this position as is a Driver Qualification Card.
Please note a category C1 licence is not acceptable for this post.
A flexible approach to working arrangements is also essential as early evenings and late afternoons will be needed.
1. Applicants will require GCSE level of education or equivalent or relevant experience.
2. A for Fire Service and Social Care Workers
