This is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you'll act as the finance lead for three operational sites, working closely with production, operations, and IT teams.

Description
The key responsibilities of the Cost Accountant include:
Build and maintain product standard costs within SAP
Monitor actual vs standard costs, investigate variances, and provide insight
Produce weekly and monthly profitability and management reports
Optimise costing and margin analysis processes to improve accuracy and controls
Calculate and review machine hourly rates
Manage the capex process and fixed asset register
Support month-end management accounts preparation
Prepare stock provisions and oversee perpetual inventory counts
Lead and support stock takes, including variance analysis
Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audits
Provide financial data to support budgeting and forecasting
Drive continuous improvement across cost accounting processes
Work cross-functionally with production, IT, and operational teamsProfile
A successful Cost Accountant should have:
Proven experience in cost accounting within the industrial or manufacturing sector.
A strong understanding of financial principles and cost management.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
A relevant qualification in accounting or finance.
