A unique opportunity has arisen for a maintenance person to join a close and friendly team on a large private estate with multiple properties forming a wider portfolio near Winchester. This is a genuine lifestyle job opportunity and a chance to secure a permanent and long-term position for the right candidate. The main part of the estate consists of a large main house, 2 staff houses, 2 let properties, a shooting lodge, barns and stables- all within 25 acres of paddocks and formal gardens. Currently being maintained by a handyman and four gardeners. Excitingly this year the maintenance role has expanded to manage the upkeep of 2 new properties, which are approximately 2 miles from the main residence and the candidate will be expected to work across multiple sights as desired. Some of the general maintenance tasks that are carried out involve beekeeping, farmyard animal caretaking, pool cleaning, jet washing patios, car maintenance, filling log stores. However, repairs and renovations require a candidate who is proficient at using a range of hand and power tools. Small maintenance jobs could involve woodwork, painting or welding. The ideal candidate will have come from a private estate, school or facilities role, with a broad range of skills using hand tools. Training will be given, but you must have some basic skills - enjoy working with your hands, and love working with animals/outside. Mostly you are reliable, hard working with a can-do kind attitude. Due to its rural location a full driving licence is essential along with willingness to drive other estate vehicles such as vans, trucks, trailers and small tractors. Core working hours will beMonday to Friday 8am - 4.30pm, with occasional dropping in to do essential jobs, if necessary, over weekend/holidays with TOIL. Johanna Green Consulting is working on behalf of the client.
