Audit Resourcing Associate
Base Location: Watford or Birmingham (with occasional travel to other KPMG offices)

With a fixed book of work and a complex pattern of regulation and accreditation requirements, it is critical that the Audit Resourcing Associate [CLR/FS/KPE] is able to optimise the resourcing within their department (either being managed independently by the Audit Resourcing Associate or supporting a department managed by an Audit Resourcing Advisor). The appropriate allocation of resources to engagements has a significant impact to quality, our financial results and our people experience all of which are key pillars of our strategy.
The role will report to the relevant Audit Resourcing Manager [CLR/FS/KPE].
What will you be doing?
The role holder will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the resourcing model within the [CLR/FS/KPE] performance group, in particular:
1. Allocation of talent
2. Annual forward panning
3. Resolution of shortfalls
4. Make and amend bookings on ProFinda
5. Working closely with the relevant KGS teams aligned to resourcing and their departments
6. Identification and allocation of under-utilised and/or spare resource
7. Supporting the effective operation of the relevant System of Quality Management (SOQM) controls in relation to assignment of resources in Audit.
The role holder will work to ensure that the sources of workforce/resource pools of their departments are optimised and providing insights to support the Manager and Senior Manager [CLR/FS/KPE] regarding operational business levels. The Resource Delivery Model as a minimum needs to achieve the following:
8. Ensuring engagements are staffed and utilisation is optimised driving both fair work allocation agenda for our staff whilst maintaining our commitment to quality.
9. Delivering a forward planning process from a Resourcing perspective in a form as agreed with Audit leadership.
10. Working to operate the SOQM process as it applies to assignment to engagement in Audit are undertaken as documented with the required level of checks and documentation.
What will you need to do it?
11. Some understanding of Talent Deployment and operations in Audit or equivalent industry
12. Resilient and capable of working in a challenging, continuously changing environment
13. Developing interpersonal skills – being able to interact well with peers and other members of the Talent Deployment – Audit team
14. Developing ability to manage large volumes, work and lead in a high performing environment, and respond positively to changing priorities
15. Developing problem solving skills - able to identify, influence and facilitate outcomes by helping shape a strategic viewpoint.
16. Discretion – demonstrate ethical behaviour, including tact, discretion and know-how to safeguard or use confidential information.
17. Developing MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
