The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Kent is seeking an experienced individual to deliver first-class receptionist and administrative functions as the new Administrative Officer for the Victims Centre, Compass House, and the Commissioning Team within the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner.
Compass House serves as a hub for victim services in Kent, providing a base and support rooms for services supporting victims of crime. The Commissioning Team oversees these services, aiming to reduce crime, enhance community safety, and support victims and witnesses across the county.
This position offers a great opportunity for someone with receptionist and administrative experience who wishes to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to helping individuals impacted by crime.
This is a permanent role based at Compass House, Ashford, with flexible working and job share options considered.
Applicants should have a good standard of education to GCSE A-C level (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
Ideally, candidates will understand policing and the criminal justice system, as well as victim support services. A willingness to learn, initiative, and the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion are essential. The ability to collect, disseminate information accurately, and prioritize effectively is also required.
Good communication and organizational skills, along with proficiency in keyboard skills and familiarity with Word, Excel, and Email, are necessary.
Salary progression within the band is available, with the maximum salary reaching £28,239.00.
