Payroll Specialist - 12 Months Full Time Contract
This role involves managing payroll functions, including calculating employee pay, withholding taxes, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The Payroll Specialist will handle complex pay queries and ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
Responsibilities include:
* Processing payroll for various employee types, calculating taxes, contributions, and ensuring correct payments.
* Administering employee payroll records and troubleshooting issues.
* Providing guidance to employees on payroll matters such as salaries, overtime, bonuses, and commissions.
* Managing statutory filings and liaising with relevant tax authorities.
Expectations for Analysts:
* Perform activities timely and to high standards, with a focus on continuous improvement.
* Possess in-depth technical knowledge in payroll.
* Lead or support teams, develop technical expertise, and influence related teams.
* Partner with other functions, take responsibility for operational results, and manage risks and controls.
* Demonstrate understanding of how payroll integrates within the organization and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
This role supports the UK and Crown Dependency payrolls, ensuring timely and accurate payroll delivery, legislative compliance, and managing escalations.
Successful candidates will have extensive payroll administration experience, decision-making accountability, and a track record of implementing process improvements.
This is a 12-month full-time contract based in Northampton.
