A national supplier of advanced plant hire machinery supporting construction, rail, major projects, and energy sectors. We are now recruiting a National Workshops Manager to lead multi-site workshop operations.
To provide strategic and operational leadership across multiple workshops, driving safety, performance, asset reliability, and continuous improvement. You'll manage Workshop Supervisors, fitters, and technical teams, ensuring consistent standards and maximising fleet uptime.
Overview
Lead workshop operations across multiple depots.
Set and maintain standards for maintenance, utilisation, compliance, and safety.
Manage KPIs including availability, cost control, utilisation, and safety performance.
Drive continuous improvement and implement systems and processes.
Oversee budgeting, asset strategy, and workforce planning.
Support diagnostics, repairs, compliance checks, and preventative maintenance.
Ensure accurate reporting, scheduling, and stock control.
Foster a positive culture focused on safety and performance.
Develop team capability, training, and succession planning.
Collaborate with internal teams and act as point of escalation for service issues.Requirements
Senior management experience in plant hire/heavy equipment operations.
Strong technical knowledge of plant/hydraulic equipment.
Proven experience managing multi-site workshops and large technical teams.
Strong understanding of maintenance planning, compliance, and fleet performance.
Skilled in operational leadership, process improvement, and budget management.
Excellent communicator with commercial awareness and strong decision-making.Salary & Benefits
