Join to apply for the Band 5 Staff Nurse - Childrens ED role at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust.
We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and hardworking Children\'s Nurse to join our ED team. We welcome both newly qualified and experienced children\'s nurses. You must be able to work well under pressure and have a willingness to learn and develop your own skills. The successful candidate will be expected to provide the highest standard of evidence based, patient centred care. You will share our PRIDE values and our desire to continue to improve. All new staff appointed to posts are subject to a six month probationary period.
Our busy Children\'s Emergency Departments cover two sites - Queens Hospital in Romford and King George\'s Hospital in Goodmayes. We deliver a comprehensive range of general Paediatric and Surgical Services to our local communities. These are amongst the busiest Children\'s EDs in the country. You will be supported by our Practice Development Nurse, Senior Sisters/Charge Nurses, Matrons and the wider MDT Team. We are focused on delivering high standards of patient centred care and clinical safety.
We operate from two main sites, KGH in Goodmayes and Queens Hospital in Romford. The Trust is committed to continuous improvement and to delivering high-quality care across our services, including Women\'s Health, Ageing Well and Community Diagnostic Centres.

Responsibilities
* Deliver a high standard of patient centred care focusing on the essence of care and clinical safety.
* Following the initial assessment and under supervision, manage a group of patients.
* Support the senior emergency nurses and ED team by delivering a high standard of care and working within own scope of practice.
* Ensure a high standard of infection prevention and control is maintained within the service.
* Develop themselves and support others including students.
Qualifications and Skills
* Enthusiastic, committed and hardworking Children\'s Nurse
* Ability to work well under pressure and a willingness to learn and develop
* Evidence based, patient centred care and commitment to the PRIDE values (Passion, Responsibility, Innovation, Drive, Empowerment)
* Willingness to work across the Trust\'s sites and participate in probationary period requirements
