About the Role
1. Plan inclusive and effective learning programmes that promote equality and diversity.
2. Design engaging lessons that utilize various resources, including digital learning tools, and ensure materials are available on the VLE.
3. Apply learning principles to develop activities meeting curriculum and student needs.
4. Select appropriate teaching methods and skill development strategies to facilitate student progress.
5. Create a stimulating learning environment while adhering to health and safety procedures.
6. Implement assessment principles, including diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments.
7. Use diverse methods to monitor learning progress and provide timely feedback.
8. Prepare students for assessments and support moderation of student work.
9. Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress, responding promptly to issues.
10. Support students through target setting, action planning, and academic advising.
11. Assist students in progressing to university, liaising with university staff as needed.
12. Contribute to progress reports, aiming for high student achievement.
13. Refer students to additional support services when necessary.
14. Ensure safeguarding and promote student wellbeing, referring to support services as appropriate.
15. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including parents and sponsors.
16. Participate in quality assurance activities and professional development.
17. Maintain and update subject knowledge and enthusiasm for teaching.
18. Collaborate with the team to develop engaging curricula and digital resources.
19. Attend meetings and participate in university and centre events.
20. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
About You
* A teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PCET, or PGCE, or willingness to achieve one.
* Degree level qualification or equivalent in Business and Finance or related field.
* Postgraduate qualification in a relevant area is desirable.
* Experience teaching at levels 3 and 4, with strong subject knowledge in Business Finance, Business Studies, and Marketing.
* Experience supporting international students and in pastoral care.
* Experience delivering digital learning platforms.
