Hours: Standard hours are 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Monday to Friday. Working out with these hours is required on a regular basis.

Salary: £26,780 per annum

Scottish Opera is Scotland’s national opera company and the largest performing arts organisation in Scotland. We are seeking a Producer for our Education & Outreach Department, a small ambitious team with over 50 year's experience in making ground breaking Opera in Education work.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree standard (MA,B.Ed) or demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge and experience preferably in an arts organisation or similar.

You should have excellent organisational skills, report writing, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills and be positive and pro-active.

The role will encompass a broad range of responsibilities including direct project management of some of the department’s live and digital activities. The ability to multi-task is very important, and you should have the capacity to effectively prioritise the tasks that require attention, whilst maintaining perspective. You should have confidence and self-awareness in recognising when assistance from colleagues may be required, and be ready to ask for support from them.

The position is usually based at Scottish Opera’s Production Studios, Edington Street, Glasgow though some hybrid working may be available. Some evening and weekend work, as well as travel out with Glasgow will also be required as part of the role.
