Part-Time Caretaker – Primary School in Dover
Are you a reliable and proactive individual looking for a rewarding part-time role in a school environment? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Dover for a dedicated Caretaker to join their team from September.
️ About the Role:
As the school’s caretaker, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the premises are safe, secure, and well-maintained. This is a year-round position, working mornings from 7:30am to 1:00pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key Responsibilities:
* Opening the school premises each morning
* Carrying out routine maintenance and minor repairs
* Ensuring the site is clean, safe, and secure
* Liaising with contractors and reporting any major issues
* Supporting with health and safety compliance
✅ Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role is desirable
* A proactive and practical approach to work
* Good communication and organisational skills
* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
