The role involves setting, operating and optimising CNC milling machines to produce high-precision components to tight tolerances across a range of high-performance engineering sectors. Key Responsibilities: Set, operate and optimise CNC milling machines (3, 4 & 5-axis) Read and interpret complex engineering drawings Manufacture precision components to tight tolerances Carry out in-process inspection using micrometers, verniers and gauges Complete works order route cards and maintain component traceability Edit CNC programs where authorised Support job planning and provide technical input where required Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy and housekeeping Report quality or process issues promptly Essential Requirements: Proven CNC milling experience within a precision engineering environment Strong drawing interpretation skills Confident using precision measuring equipment Able to self-inspect own work Quality-focused with strong attention to detail Reliable, punctual and process-driven Desirable: Experience with 5-axis machining Heidenhain control knowledg...
