EUC Engineer - Apple Specialist
Location: London/Hybrid
Hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: Permanent - Salaried
The EUC Engineer - Apple Specialist is responsible for delivering high‑quality management of the organisation's macOS and iOS devices. This role ensures all Apple endpoints remain secure, compliant, and optimised to support employee productivity and a seamless digital experience. The engineer will work closely with cross‑functional teams to implement automation, maintain standards, and drive continuous improvement in end‑user computing.
Administration & Maintenance
* Manage and optimise the Apple device estate, ensuring compliant, secure, and consistent configuration.
* Administer Jamf, Intune, and Apple Business Manager, including policies, profiles, packaging, and patching.
* Oversee automated device provisioning and monitor device health, performance, and lifecycle.
* Develop scripts and automation to streamline processes and reduce manual workload.
Security & Compliance
* Implement and maintain security controls across macOS and iOS devices, including encryption and endpoint protection.
* Ensure compliance with enterprise security standards and support identity, SSO, and access integrations.
* Monitor alerts, investigate incidents, and remediate vulnerabilities to maintain a strong security posture.
Support & Troubleshooting
* Act as the macOS/iOS subject‑matter expert and escalation point for complex technical issues.
* Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, application, and network‑related problems.
* Collaborate with Service Desk teams and maintain documentation, guides, and knowledge articles.
* Use logs and telemetry to proactively identify and address issues.
Adoption & Optimisation
* Promote effective use of macOS tools and features to improve productivity and user experience.
* Work with teams to develop efficient workflows and configurations that support collaboration.
* Provide training and best‑practice guidance, and evaluate new Apple features and updates.
* Use analytics and feedback to drive continual improvement across the Apple ecosystem.
Qualifications & Experience
* Demonstrable experience managing and maintaining Apple devices in enterprise environments.
* Experience in managing Windows and Android devices is desirable.
* Hands-on experience with Apple management platforms such as Jamf, Intune, and related Apple ecosystem tools.
* Experience implementing and supporting endpoint security controls.
* Proficiency in scripting for automation, reporting and configuration tasks.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
* Familiarity with ITIL service management practices, incident management, change control, and structured support processes.
* Apple Certified Support Professional certification (or equivalent experience)
* ITIL Foundation certification (desirable).
