The Role Responsibilities As a Parenting Assessor - Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality assessments and interventions to support parents in achieving positive outcomes for their children. Your key responsibilities will include: Conducting comprehensive parenting assessments, including the assessment of risk and safeguarding concerns. Working collaboratively with families to provide support and guidance in improving parenting practices. Ensuring accurate and timely recording of information, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection regulations. Providing expert advice and guidance to colleagues and other professionals regarding parenting assessments. Contributing to multi-agency meetings and conferences to advocate for the best interests of children. In addition to the above, you will also have the opportunity to support and mentor less experienced Social Workers, sharing your knowledge and expertise to promote their professional development. We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Social Worker who possesses the following attributes: Registered with Social Work England and holds a relevant Social Work qualification. Extensive experience in Social Work, with a focus on assessment and intervention with children and families. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of legislation, policies, and best practices related to safeguarding and parenting. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and multi-agency partners. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions. Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing competing demands and prioritising tasks. A positive and solution-focused approach, demonstrating resilience in challenging situations.
