Charity Jobs NI, part of the Happy Jobs group, is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator for their LEQ team. About the Role: You will coordinate and project manage environmental quality and certification programs, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordination: Manage resources, including field officers, to deliver program outputs within budget and deadlines.
* Project Management: Lead planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
* Surveying and Certifications: Coordinate programs like Blue Flag, Green Flag, and cleanliness surveys across boroughs.
* Community Engagement: Promote participation in sustainability initiatives and expand geographical coverage.
* Communications: Serve as the primary contact, respond to inquiries, represent the charity, and prepare content for platforms.
* Research Support: Assist in research and policy analysis related to environmental sustainability.
* Authority and Decision-making: Manage stakeholder communications, oversee work commissioning, and support marketing efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:
Essential: Relevant third-level qualification or three years' experience, with at least 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year in staff supervision.
Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Full driving license and access to transport.
* Understanding of environmental issues.
* Knowledge of behavior change principles (desirable).
Personal Qualities & Additional Requirements:
* Effective independent and team working skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
* Occasional travel across Northern Ireland and flexibility for outside hours work.
Work Hours & Salary:
Flexible hours between 8am - 6pm, core hours 10am - 4pm, Monday to Friday. Salary: £30,328. Contract: Permanent (subject to funding). This position is partially funded through the DAERA Environment Fund.
