Cambridge law firm is looking to recruit a Claimant Clinical Negligence lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the next step in their career, working on high-quality, complex cases within a reputable and growing firm. Responsibilities of the role will include: • Handling initial client instructions • Screening new enquiries and managing cases from planning through to post-settlement, including gathering evidence, reviewing medical records, and drafting chronologies • Instructing counsel and experts • Participating in departmental meetings • Supporting senior team members by assisting with their caseloads and covering during absences • Advising clients on funding • Managing expectations • Assessing risks in new and ongoing cases • Providing guidance on medical negligence claims, complaints, inquests, and access to medical records. In addition to the above, you will need to be able to demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of disabled and elderly clients while maintaining high standards of professional service and ethical responsibility. A proven ability to deliver high-quality legal services independently, with a strong track record in Medical Negligence is also required. You must also possess excellent client service skills with an ability to build trusted relationships, as well as actively contributing to the firm’s community and CSR initiatives.
