GSL Education are currently seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a welcoming school in Dinnington. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who wants to help students explore significant events, civilisations, and movements that have shaped our world.
As a History Teacher, you will deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons across Key Stages. Your role will be to help students develop a deeper understanding of historical events, enhance their analytical and writing skills, and make connections between the past and the present.
Responsibilities as a History Teacher:
* Plan and deliver well-structured History lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
* Inspire curiosity through discussion, debate, and critical thinking.
* Monitor student progress and provide clear feedback and academic support.
* Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
* Contribute to departmental planning, enrichment activities, and wider school life.
Requirements for the History Teacher role:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A degree in History or a related subject.
* Experience teaching History in a UK school setting.
* Excellent subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
* A commitment to high-quality teaching and student development.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
