Key Responsibilities:
Injury Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conducting thorough assessments to diagnose injuries, determining the severity and appropriate treatment plan.
Rehabilitation Programs:
Developing and working with members of our SLT on individualised rehabilitation programs for injured players, aiming for a safe and effective return to play.
Injury Prevention:
Implementing injury prevention strategies, such as warm-up routines and specific exercises, to minimise the risk of injuries.
First Aid and Emergency Care:
Providing immediate care for injuries sustained during training or matches, including pitch-side trauma care.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation progress.
Communication and Collaboration:
Working closely with coaches, other medical staff, and potentially players' families to ensure a collaborative and holistic approach to player care.
Education and Guidance:
Educating players and coaches on injury prevention, proper training techniques, and the importance of recovery.
Staying Updated:
Continuously developing professional knowledge and skills through CPD and staying abreast of the latest research in sports physiotherapy.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will work across and build relationships with the following departments:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
Degree in Physiotherapy (BSc or MSc) or BSc in Sports Therapy/Rehabilitation .
Strong musculoskeletal assessment and manual therapy skills .
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills .
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team .
Experience in a sports or elite sporting environment (may be required for some roles) .
Knowledge of sports science and conditioning principles .
First aid qualification (e.g., FA Level 4 Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football. For the right candidates we may fund this) .
Potential Additional Responsibilities:
Lead and work as part of a team on the rehabilitation of long-term injured players under supervision .
Attend training sessions and matches .
Assist with warm-ups and cool-downs .
Contribute to the development of injury prevention programs .
Support recovery sessions after games .
