Role Overview
In the role of LRC Advisor you'll be based at Huddersfield and Dewsbury, and your focus will be on supporting the development and delivery of our services to enhance the student experience across all our sites.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver excellent customer service and front‑line support to students, staff and stakeholders in accessing a variety of resources in numerous formats, and provide support to academic staff in developing resource collections for teaching and learning. Maintain an appropriate learning environment that supports study, promotes the importance of research, literacy, digital literacy and, mental health and well‑being.
Qualifications and Experience
Ideally, you have experience in a customer service, library, IT or an educational setting (or can prove equivalent skills) and demonstrate the ability to react positively to change in this quickly developing sector. You must be able to communicate and engage effectively with learners with wide ranging needs and potential barriers to learning. You are expected to formulate effective partnerships with college tutors, other support providers/teams, feeder schools and external agencies and demonstrate our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence.
Additional Information
A number of roles are currently available ranging from 15 to 37 working hours per week. This position is suitable as a job share and is a term‑time only based role. We encourage candidates with professional experience in related industries such as retail, publishing, events planning and the Arts, or with additional skills which could enhance our offer.
