Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is a leading NHS teaching trust offering a wide range of clinical services. We are recruiting a Clinical Support Administrator to provide essential patient-facing administrative support to our clinical workforce.
Responsibilities
* Administer diaries, correspondence and other administrative duties for named consultants and clinical staff.
* Prioritise and open incoming post, ensuring supporting information is available and urgent items are actioned in the absence of clinical staff.
* Monitor urgent investigation requests to ensure timely processing.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems, both paper and electronic.
* Provide a robust administration function that underpins high quality service delivery and maintain effective working relationships with clinical, nursing and administrative colleagues.
* Safeguard patient confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grades A–C.
* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Skills & Experience
* Strong communication skills – effective with patients, families and medical staff.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in managing records.
* Empathy and compassion for patients and their families.
* Organisational abilities – multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
* Previous experience in a healthcare or administrative role is preferred.

Probation
This post is subject to a six‑month probationary period (unless you already hold a contract with the Trust).
