A leading UK law firm is looking to appoint a newly qualified to 2 years' PQE Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its respected Clinical Negligence team in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to gain hands-on experience in high-value and complex medical negligence claims, particularly those involving birth injuries.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior team members to deliver high-quality legal advice and client service, while also contributing to business development and the ongoing growth of the team's strong reputation in this specialist area.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support senior lawyers in managing complex birth injury cases, with a focus on the quantum aspects.
2. Handle client communications, taking instructions and ensuring expectations are clearly understood and met.
3. Develop client relationship skills through close collaboration with partners and senior colleagues.
4. Contribute to a positive team dynamic and build strong internal relationships.
5. Ensure effective time recording, billing, and financial management of files
6. Monitor performance against personal and team objectives.
Candidate Requirements:
7. Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with between 0 and 2 years' post-qualification experience.
8. Prior exposure to complex clinical negligence, birth injury, or serious personal injury cases.
9. Strong teamwork skills and a collaborative approach.
10. Excellent communication and client care abilities.
11. Confident working with Excel and comfortable with numerical data.
