First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Assistant Transport Manager on behalf of one of our clients.
Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assisting the Transport Manager in overseeing the daily Transport operations of the transport department.
2. Ensuring compliance with the undertakings of the Operator’s Licence, as outlined by the Traffic Commissioner.
3. Managing and supporting two Traffic Planners who will report directly to the Assistant Transport Manager.
4. Handling administrative tasks related to the transport department.
Skills and Qualifications:
5. Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the haulage transport industry and its regulations.
6. Proven track record of success in a similar role within the transport industry.
7. Conflict Management experience.
8. People Management experience.
9. Organisational, communication, and leadership skills
10. Ability to effectively manage administrative tasks.
Location: Melton Mowbray
Salary: £32,000 Per Annum
