Orka Financial is working with a well-established business based in Basingstoke, who are looking to hire an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their fast-growing finance team. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and working within a busy accounting department.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Payable Assistant who has previous experience supporting the AP function, dealing with suppliers on a daily basis, assisting with month-end processes, and managing day-to-day accounts payable queries.
Responsibilities
* Processing multi-currency purchase invoices
* Month end journals - prepayments
* Intercompany reconciliations
* Monitoring the AP mailbox
* Carrying out monthly supplier statement reconciliations and following up on any queries
* Dealing with telephone and email supplier queries
* Checking and processing expenses
* Assisting with VAT return completion
Requirements
* Must have previous experience within an Accounts Payable role
* Experience processing multi-currency transactions is essential
* Strong knowledge of the Accounts Payable function
* Good IT skills, including Word and Excel
* Highly customer-focused, with strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers
Salary & Benefits
£32,000 - £35,000 + excellent company benefits
